Subject: Important Reseller Information - New Zealand Government Export Permit Directive

*** Please read this - this may affect you as a Flightcell Reseller ***

New Export Controls on Goods and Technologies for Military, Paramilitary or Police use.

The New Zealand Government has instituted new controls on the export of products that are to be used by military, paramilitary, or police organizations and are sold to organizations that are in a non-exempt country.

While most of our products will not require an export permit, it is important to note that as a reseller you are required to notify Flightcell when a Flightcell product is sold to:

  1. An end user that is classed as one of the following:

  • Military,

  • Police,

  • Paramilitary – this includes coast guard and border patrol, or

  • Search and rescue, if operated by the military.

AND:

  2. An end user located in any country, excluding the following exempt countries, which do NOT require an export permit.

Australia, Canada, Iceland, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, a member state of the European Union.

If the end user country is not listed as an exempt country above AND is classed as military, paramilitary, or police, then an export permit is required. As a reseller you are required to inform Flightcell so we can apply for an export permit. We recommend contacting us with an Export Permit End User Form in the early stages of any RFQ or sale to an end user where an export permit is required.

End users to which an export permit is NOT required

If the end user is NOT military, paramilitary or police then an export permit is NOT required. All other sectors using Flightcell products are not affected. These include EMS, air ambulance, air work, aerial firefighting, tourism, passenger and transport.
