Dear Friend,

Below is release information for you, following some changes, additions, and fixes. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Flightcell Support team at tech@flightcell.com

This latest Tracking SDK/API release includes:
  • minor additions to our tracking event codes (mandatory implementation).
  • a new command packet, COMMAND_1 (optional implementation).
  • a bug fix to the SDK/API.
Also in this version is an extension to the SDK/API to allow you to encode tracking messages (see section 5). There are also some additional pages and information in the manual about how to send commands to the DZMx using the new COMMAND_1 packet (see section 9), and how to unpack tracking data from an SBD message sent from the DZMx (see section 7).

New Tracking Event Codes

Five additional event codes have been added to the DZMx Tracking Protocol Suite 4. The additions are in section 6.9.31. EV1 - Event Type (Version 1). We have also added more guidance on the representation and use of the User Message codes:

An example would be: ROLL=70;ROLLRATE=65

Collision detection cannot be disabled, but all other messages and exceedence parameters are configurable by the user.

New Command Packet

This feature was added in DZMx firmware version v3.4.x and implementation is optional. Currently the only commands implemented allow the tracking provider to send a command to the DZMx to suspend tracking (for a limited period of time) and to re-enable tracking. Additional commands may be added in the future.

Bug Fixes

Bug fixed in C++ tracking API code, affecting Tracking protocol Suite 4 PP1C_1 packet. The API programmatic implementation of PP1C_1 is now correct, reflecting the tracking manual document specifications and is fully usable again via the C++ API or the command line tool.
