I'll be straight up with you...most protein bars are garbage.I've literally called the customer service lines of some companies to ask them why they feel High Fructose Corn Syrup should be one of the top ingredients in a "healthy" protein bar. (they hung up on me pretty fast) That's why when I first tried David Bars, I was skeptical. I normally stay away from protein bars and go for real food (or protein shakes with high quality protein sources). However, these bars really impressed me. Their nutrient profile is something I had been looking for for a very long time...lots of protein with low calories. And they're DELICIOUS... I actually look forward to eating them. As I mentioned, their nutrient profile is excellent... high protein, low fat, and relatively lower carbs (the primary carb source is a sugar alcohol: maltitol). For me, it's no problem but if you're sensitive to sugar alcohols, it's something to be aware of.
