...First we start with shea-butter and olive oil, then add in tallow and palm kernel. Once the temps are spot on, we add in Lye, red French clay and essential oils of ylang ylang and cedarwood.

A slow stir for an hour, the Lye begins to "roast" select fats, causing saponification. We stir more. Then some more.

Then we pour into molds...and top it off with sea salt to bring out the natural glycerine. When you have glycerin and saponified fats, you have magic for your skin.

The molds serve as a rest stop, waiting for the reaction to fully settle and bond with select fats.

Once done, it's time to cut and store. Once on the curing racks, the invisible world of chemistry continues its alchemy.

Curing will take 6 months to a year.
