Almost a year ago, I built a fire pit for our family. I spent a lot of time researching and making sure it was perfect. It was hard, but I motivated myself envisioning beautiful bonfire parties. Just as I was close to finish it, my husband faced a medical emergency, and the fire pit couldn’t be finished until the winter had set in — too late to test it.Â
I often wondered whether I had built it right. A fire pit poorly built will smoke out an entire neighborhood!
Last night, it finally got christened — and it reminded me of something powerful about our homes, our energy, and the way life flows when things work the way they should.
