Before you decide to accept any loans, there are a few things that you need to learn about first. We've talked about the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized loans, federal vs. private loans, and how much should you borrow, but you also need to learn about the interest rates for your loan(s).                                               

Studentaid.ed.gov is the best website to refer to when it comes to doing your research about loans and other types of financial aid. The page in the link above shows you the interest rates for the 2016-2017 school year and also answers questions like How is interest calculated? and Are there any other fees for federal student loans?.
