Subject: Upcoming 21-Day Prayer Challenge!

We invite you to join with us for a special prayer initiative that you can do right from home.

Dear Friends,

As we come to the close of another year, we are so thankful for all that God did in 2024. One highlight in November was hosting Men's Prayer Summits in the Northwoods of Michigan; Big Sandy, Texas; and online. As these events took place, God was stirring the hearts of both staff and attendees afresh in the importance of prayer in our lives as believers.

As a result, Dr. Tim Levendusky, the president of IBLP, sensed a special burden to encourage the staff at our recent Christmas event to participate in a 21-Day Prayer Challenge at the beginning of the new year! He challenged each staff member to dedicate one hour to focused, personal prayer every day for the first 21 days of January 2025.

Afterward, the idea came to also invite you to join us in this special prayer initiative! We believe that these set-aside times for prayer will be an impactful and transformative way to start 2025.

Will you consider joining us in this 21-day endeavor? Details for the challenge are as follows:

  • When: January 1–21, 2025

  • Where: Your prayer closet (Note: On January 21, the final day of the challenge, a virtual prayer meeting will be held for those who participated to thank the Lord for all He has done.)

  • How: Sign up at our website to receive daily email reminders featuring a prayer focus, Scripture verse, and a quote on the topic of prayer.

  • Why: Because to pray is a command, a privilege, and should be a priority in our lives as believers.

Further details can be found here at our website.

We understand setting aside an hour each day for personal prayer will require discipline and probably reprioritizing our schedules. But we believe that those who participate in this challenge will indeed find these prayer times to be what the old hymn writer called a “sweet hour of prayer”!

Oh! one hour with God infinitely exceeds all the pleasures and delights of this lower world.” —David Brainerd

We hope you can join us in 2025 for the 21-Day Prayer Challenge. We are looking forward to all that God will do in our lives and hearts during this special time!

In Christ,

The Family Conferences Team
