Subject: The Forgotten Priority

A Message by Scott Pauley

Dear Families,

Praise God for His moving in hearts during the Family Conference last week! Hundreds of people gathered to seek the Lord’s face for revival in ourselves, our homes, our churches, and our nation. We also rejoice that souls were added to the Kingdom! Please pray for these new believers as they begin their walk with the Lord. Pray also for the Holy Spirit’s continued reviving of hearts to draw closer to Him and to do His will.

Evangelist Scott Pauley was the keynote speaker for the opening night of the conference. His message, “The Forgotten Priority,” is our Message of the Month for May. Turning to the Book of Genesis, Dr. Pauley invites us to read with him about Abram and Sarai’s family as they obey and follow the Lord.

A key fact was highlighted about Abram—that with his every relocation, he would first do two things: he would pitch his tent, and he would also build an altar. Dr. Pauley challenges believers to consider how Abram's practice should be our practice today, and to make spending time in prayer and seeking God a central part of the home. As you listen to this message and consider what effects building an altar had on Abram's family, and now on our lives today, consider strengthening or rebuilding patterns of prayer in your home and leading your family in dependence on the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Every good thing God does in a home, He starts in a heart. Let it start in your heart.” Let this exhortation from Dr. Pauley stir your heart to seek closer communion with Jesus Christ and experience the revival that comes as we fellowship with Him!

In Christ,
