Subject: Keeping Faith amid Frustration: A lesson from Asaph

A message by Bob Gray II

Dear Families,

Have you ever wondered why some unbelievers seem to be so happy and carefree? Why do they seemingly prosper rather than encounter challenges, difficulties, or even God’s judgment because of their obvious sin? Are you frustrated that, while you chose the better way—living for Christ—you do not have the same abundance or achievements that the wicked seem to enjoy?

In this Message of the Month, Pastor Bob Gray II addresses the frustration that believers may feel as they see the wicked prosper. Pastor Gray directs us to Psalm 73 and to Asaph, a man who wrestled through similar speculations. Asaph struggled to understand why the wicked were prospering so much when they did not follow the ways of God. He expressed frustration with his lifestyle and felt that he had kept himself pure in vain. However, in spite of his struggles and frustration, Asaph did not abandon his faith. Pastor Gray shares with us a key truth that helped Asaph to stay faithful to the Lord—a truth that may help us if we’re wrestling with similar questions regarding others’ prosperity.

We are excited to have Pastor Bob Gray II join us for the Big Sandy Family Conference on April 8–12, 2024! For more information about the conference, visit familyconferences.org.

We trust that this message, “What Seals the Deal in Living for the Lord,” will encourage and strengthen you and others in their walk with the Lord.
