Today I thought I’d show you a little of thinking around the value horses
12.30 Doncaster – An interesting race with the big trainers represented. The favourite is Rainy City but with his sire Kalanisi only being 1/38 over 2m3f to 2m4f on today’s going, I wouldn’t want to be on him at the price. Our Kaempfer is next and again sire stats are not great with only an 8% strike rate so I’d be looking at Nicky Henderson’s Saint Charles and maybe for a bit more value Work In Progress as an each way bet
1.20 Huntingdon – A maiden hurdle over 2m ½ furlong where Vayland is the favourite. Again we have poor sire stats for trip/going and 1/30 and only another one placed. The stats for It’s a A Sting are inconclusive with only 6 runs but so far none have won but 2 have placed so I think the one to be on at around 5/1 is Maestro Royal who is bred for the job, the only slight worry would be fitness but the trainer does know how to get them ready so hopefully he is.
I then look at my ratings and decide if the horses are value

Even before Catterick was called off it was a pretty poor day's racing for a Friday so nothing really to review but we do have some value horses:
2.55 Chep COME ON ANNIE won @16/1 SP - Betfair SP 23/1
5.45 Wolves MIAS BOY 3/1 lost
6.45 Wolves REGGIE BOND won @ 11/4 SP
