Subject: Make a difference this giving season.

WHEN YOU GIVE, YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
With the arrival of winter in New York this year, 41 formerly street-homeless men are now warm and safe, sheltered in The Bridge’s new Safe Haven. Located in a welcoming building on a hill in the Bronx, the Safe Haven offers these men, drawn from the transit system and the streets, shelter and the opportunity to receive the treatment they need to build a path to a new stable life.

The Safe Haven offers the residents a flexible environment, helping these shelter-resistant men to make the adjustment to a structured living setting. The Bridge provides a comprehensive range of services, with 24 hour staffing, an onsite nurse, and full meal service. Therapeutic and social groups are offered, and additional support is provided by the visiting psychiatrist and the Ryan Center’s primary health care van. The Bridge’s case managers work with the residents to help smooth the path to housing, and already one has successfully made the transition to supportive housing.

As we look to end of another year, we invite you to support The Bridge’s work by contributing to the 2017 Year-End Appeal. Please join us as we provide more than 2,700 New Yorkers with the comprehensive behavioral health services they need. Your gifts make a difference. Many thanks.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season.
