We just released a couple of new Piano Express features—and while they’re small on the surface, they point to something bigger we’re building toward.

If you’re not familiar yet, Piano Express is the world's best group lesson program. Piano Express students make faster progress with less stress... getting through the beginning stages of piano instruction with better musicianship in half the time.

Lately, we've been working on new features for the app that comes with our curriculum and method books.

Here’s what we've recently released 👇

1) Student Look-Back (see more of your student’s practice at home)

Don't you wish you knew what your students were doing at home between lessons?

For years, the Piano Express app has allowed you to see your student's home practice for the just previous week.

With our upgraded Student Look-Back view, teachers can now scroll back weeks—or even months—and see a student’s activity over time:

What they practiced
How often they logged in
Where momentum picked up (or dropped off)
Patterns you’d never catch from memory alone

This additional information will help you to support your students... and give you data that you can use to show parents the value of the lessons you are providing!

2) Faster, smoother flashcards (keyboard shortcuts)

For older students especially, tiny bits of friction add up.

We’ve added keyboard shortcuts (A–E) to our theory flashcards so students can move quickly, stay focused, and keep their momentum—without constantly switching between trackpad and keys.

Less friction makes for a better experience and greater usage of the app's tools.
