European Day of Parks 2021 Parks: The Next Generation

On the 24th of May 2021 we invite all Parks and Protected Areas to celebrate the European Day of Parks. This year we will discover the lessons Parks have learned from the challenges 2020 posed with the theme "Parks: The Next Generation". As always, EUROPARC wants to highlight what our members are doing, that is why we have a small request... |

| | | "In one minute" video message EUROPARC encourages Parks to organise face to face events where possible, however due to the ongoing pandemic this might be limited. But that won't stop us from putting the spotlight on our members!
So, we are asking Parks to send us a small video message! In one minute, explain how your Park is getting ready for "The Next Generation". What has changed due to corona? How did your Park respond? Tell us! Does your Park have a Junior Ranger or Youth+ programme? Then let them record the message! Feel free to get creative.

| EUROPARC will distribute your message across our social media platforms to show the world that Parks and Protected Areas are ready create a healthy and green future!
We look forward to receiving your videos.

| | This European Day of Parks.... We welcome Parks to look at what lessons they have
learned from COVID-19 and how we can apply them. It is time to refresh and
rethink what Parks offer, to adapt to new methods of communication, new
infrastructures and new visitors. Of course, when thinking about a next generation
of Parks, youth involvement is absolutely essential - on all levels of parks
management. So, get young people involved in your Park! You can find information on EUROPARC's youth programmes here.
The
European Day of Parks is a day to celebrate Protected Areas. Let us show the
world in 2021 how Parks are continuously evolving,
adapting and moving forward! |
