Overall it was a disappointing day yesterday.

Wales just didn't turn up. Very little fight and they got smashed 4-0 in the end. It's disappointing after all that hard work to get through the groups only to put in such a lackluster showing.

The Italian v Austrian game also didn't go to plan - Italy dominated most of the game but it required extra time for them to break down Austria.

Overall, a poor day but we will make that back!

ANALYSIS - NETHERLANDS v CZECH REPUBLIC

This game is being played on neutral territory. Prior to this, the Netherlands had been cruising in their matches in the Amsterdam Arena.

This fixture won't be easy for them but I do expect goals.  In the first game against the Ukraine, the Netherlands looked defensively loose but since then they have sorted it out.

I do think that their defence will be breached this afternoon though. 


ANALYSIS - BELGIUM v PORTUGAL

This is a BIG game and it should be very entertaining. I would say that this is very even in terms of which way it is going to go.

I do however, believe Belgium are going to qualify. I think that Belgium possess the balance and the perfect blend of super stars (killers are I referred to them in the round of 16 e-mail).

Portugal have similar ammunition but I think Belgium look the more assured team and based on the groups, even though Portugal were in a very tough one, I think the formation they face is a problem.

By that I mean the Germans played 3-4-3 as their shape and Portugal couldn't handle it. France didn't. Belgium use the same shape as Germany and I think that this may be a problem for them.

I expect goals in the game so I am going for BOTH teams to score - I've also put quite a big stake here and I'm confident in it.
