Subject: Day 8

Hi Friend,

This should be the last time I deliver the tips in the morning. I went to sleep right after the whistle last night but I feel 100% again today so the next e-mail about tips will go out after the games tonight.

We were an Austrian goal away from what would have been a sensationally profitable day in respect to our bank.

It was very disappointing that they couldn't find the net especially the number of balls that would roll inches past the post!

The first two games went to plan - Ukraine winning and Belgium winning with both sides scoring in the fixture.

Another 3 games today, including England v Scotland which I think most people are looking forward to.

ANALYSIS - SWEDEN v SLOVAKIA

This is not an easy one to call. We didn't really see much from Sweden against Spain because they barely touched the ball but we did see that they're able to keep a solid shape and defend.

Slovakia surprised us all in the first round by beating Poland. I think this plays into their hands. They're already on 3 points and they will be more than happy to play for a draw in this game while Sweden need the points.

It's the type of fixture where you can almost expect it to be 0-0 at half time (don't bet on that though), but I am confident in our under 2.5 goals bet for this one.

ANALYSIS - CROATIA v CZECH REPUBLIC

I think this game could be more open than we expect which is why I have gone for both teams to score. The first game involving England and Croatia saw Croatia fail to trouble England at the back. I think that will change and we will see the Croatian midfield attempt to control this game.

The Czech Republic will be flying knowing they're already on 3 points in the group after beating Scotland. I think they too will be more than satisfied with a draw because it would see them move to 4 points and 4 points should be the cut off for any 3rd placed team to qualify.

They've had two meetings in the past, both full of goals and I am expecting goals again.

You will notice that we have pushed the stake for this one and we're sticking to it.

ENGLAND v SCOTLAND

I've gone for over 2.5 goals here. I do think Scotland will score. The reason that I say this is because they failed to score in the first game of the tournament and this was after having about 17 attempts at goal. This feels like a situation where the laws of averages may just be a bit cruel against England and Scotland find themselves with a goal.

You can also guarantee that every one of the Scottish players will be going all out to win this as the under dogs in what we can call a "United Kingdom derby".

In terms of quality, Scotland have a number of tried and tested Premier League players - Mcginn, Robertson, Cooper, Tierney, Fraser etc - there is definitely enough in the team. The problem is they're coming up against a country that has an abundance of attacking options.

Scotland losing the first match means that they can't really afford to let this game pass them by. They have to take something for it and playing defensively won't help them so I expect an open game. It is the main reason which provides us with confidence that there SHOULD be goals.

England probably should have been more of an attacking threat in the first fixture too and I think the goals are going to come out here.

Thank you

Kind Regards
John Anthony
