Another poor day on the round of 16.

I've had e-mails asking about the challenge and whether it will continue even if we don't make it during the Euros.

All I can say to this is - of course. I will provide this type of service for the next full football season if I have to.


Netherlands v Czech Republic was finely poised until the straight red card for the Dutch. It was a contentious red as there may have been a foul before he handled the ball but he should not have had his hands even near it.

The Belgium v Portugal game - I cannot believe that we didn't get an equaliser in that game. For all that second half dominance. Portugal also had over 20 attempts at goal and could not find the net.

On the upside - our ACCUMULATOR is still going

20:00 - France v Switzerland

Bet 2: Under 2.5 goals (1.75 on the Exchange)

ANALYSIS - CROATIA v SPAIN

This one is tricky. Both sides have technical quality and in recent times, games between them have been quite open.

Spain suddenly found their scoring boots last game but I think this one will be very tight. 

Both sides use a 3 man midfield meaning it is going to cancel one another out. If I had to pick an ultimate score line for this it is 1-1 on the 90.

I have a sneaky suspicion that this could be the first game that goes to penalties.


ANALYSIS - FRANCE v SWITZERLAND

Before the tournament started, I thought Belgium France and Portugal were the 3 favourites.

France are still in the driving seat but.... they have not convinced me as much as I expected.

Although one could say that is the best way to start a tournament - 3rd or 4th gear before going into 5th for the knock-outs.

I have another sneaky suspicion that this game is going to be quite tight hence I've gone for UNDER 2.5
