Subject: QSO Today: Back to the bench

QSO Today Message
 Dear Friend,

Last week I sent invitations to all of my former guests on the QSO Today podcast for speakers at my QSO Today Virtual Ham Radio Expo, coming in June. I received, from them, 45 speaker applications.  All of them will be great.

On my listener survey, I received 78 replies.  If you did not have a chance to complete it, please click on this link. Click Here For Survey

I value your opinion and want to make a great first virtual convention.  I will update you when I have a date that works for everyone.

Now, we are all "on the bench", social distancing, staying indoors, or within our 100 meter radius of the QTH.  I have a graphic on my phone in case I get stopped by the police to show that I am walking my dogs in my "space".

Still, I have not been busier making the next week's QSO Today Podcast, doing remote support for my IT clients who are now working from home for the first time, and planning the expo.

The other way to look at "back on the bench" is to go where many of us hams who when we have free time, and that's to our ham radio work bench.  This week I caught up with Charlie Morris, ZL2CTM, who loves to build receivers and transmitters the old fashioned way beginning with a pencil and paper.  His blog shows his step by step process, and his YouTube channel documents his results.  His results are impressive.

So if you are "on the bench", like many of us are, check out all of Charlie's resources and start your simple ham radio project this week.  And don't forget to fill out my survey.

I wish all of you nothing but continued good health, and if you are sick, that you have my prayers for a speedy recovery.
