| #TherapyEquality Leader Christopher Doyle Provides a Compassionate Response to North Carolina's Transgender "Bathroom Bill" Controversy
|
| I
am a Christian. I am a licensed psychotherapist. I am a man. I know
what it is like to have sexual feelings that do not correspond to who I
believe I was created to be. I know what it is like to be bullied
because of my sexuality. I know what it is like to be the target of hate
because of my sexual identity. I know these things because I have
experienced them.
|
| | | The world’s largest organization of psychiatrists just released a statement condemning all forms of counseling intended to resolve unwanted same-sex attraction
Please join us in speaking out against this incorrect and political statement by the World Psychiatric Association.
This statement is a political move, intended to
appease the international pro-LGBT lobby. It does not take into account
the well-documented benefits of counseling for those who freely choose
counseling to resolve unwanted same-sex attractions (SSA).
Christopher Doyle, Founder of Voice of the Voiceless and Co-Coordinator of the National Task Force for Therapy Equality (#Therapy Equality) with Washington, DC-based Equality And Justice For All has personally experienced the healing power of counseling for unwanted SSA.
|
| He explains: "For 15 years of my life, I experienced unwanted SSA
due to childhood sexual abuse and a lack of healthy relationships with
men. However, after I sought out licensed therapy, Christian support
groups, and healthy friendships with men in my church, I healed the
wounds that caused me to be homo-sexually attracted. Today, I have been
married to my beautiful wife for almost ten years, and we have five
wonderful children! There was absolutely nothing harmful about the help I
received; in fact, every aspect of my life has improved because of this
help and support. So why is my story marginalized by these activists?

Help the National Task Force File a Complaint with the Federal Trade Commission
Complaint Being Filed Against Gay Activist Groups Profiting from Lies |
|
Human Rights
Campaign (HRC), Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the National
Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) are fraudulently profiting from their
#BornPerfect campaign by falsely promoting the idea that sexual
orientation is inborn and cannot change. In addition to misleading the
public in order to further their political agenda, these gay activist
organizations are actively trying to misrepresent, intimidate, and shut
down organizations such as People Can Change (PCC) and others who offer
help and healing for those with unwanted same-sex attraction and/or are
ex-gay. Last week, HRC, SPLC, and NCLR sent a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission
accusing PCC of Consumer Fraud, but they have yet to find a plaintiff
who has accused PCC of deception at their peer-led healing weekends. |
| Because of these outrageous attacks against freedom, Equality And Justice For All and the National Task Force For Therapy Equality will be working on filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against HRC, SPLC and NCLR for their #BornPerfect campaign - but we need your help! Your gift of $10, $25, $50, $100, or more will help us fight against these attacks!
The National Task Force, coordinated by Christopher Doyle and David Pickup is comprised of prominent pro-family organizations, including Equality And Justice For All, The Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), Voice of the Voiceless, and many other pro-family and state family policy councils across the United States. The Task Force's objective is to secure therapy equality for those seeking help for unwanted same-sex attractions and fight against therapy ban legislation across the United States. In 2015, our Task Force helped to defeat or stall at least 15 bills!
We believe it's important to remind the FTC that in 2008, the American Psychological Association stated: “Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors.” Gay activist organizations refuse to acknowledge that homosexuality is NOT inborn, change IS possible, and ex-gays DO exist. We are living proof.
Will you help us raise the funds necessary for our lobbying and advocacy work?
Please consider making a generous donation so that we can stand for truth. We appreciate your generosity and any amount you can provide. Thank you for your support!
