#TherapyEquality Task Force Member Dr. Laura A. Haynes Comments on Lesbian APA Member's Research that Homosexuality is Fluid and Changeable

A top researcher with the American Psychological Association (APA) and lesbian activist has acknowledged that gays are not "born that way."
Dr. Lisa Diamond, co-editor-in-chief of the APA Handbook of Sexuality and Psychology and one of the APA’s “most respected members," says sexual orientation is "fluid" and not unchangeable. As clinical psychologist Dr. Laura A. Haynes summarizes Diamond's APA Handbook chapters, her book and YouTube lectures, "The battle to disprove 'Born that way and can’t change’ is now over, and (Diamond) is telling LGBT activists to stop promoting the myth." American Family Association October Journal's "I Want Out" explores therapy bans, culture wars, and leaving homosexuality with commentary from Christopher Doyle and Equality And Justice For All's #TherapyEquality Movement

Christopher Doyle is cofounder of VOTV and a licensed professional counselor. His training and past personal experience with same sex attraction (SSA) has uniquely equipped him to help heterosexuals who struggle with unwanted SSA. “Those who have gone through therapy on this issue tend to be in counseling for quite a long time,” Doyle explained to AFA Journal. “They typically have a lot of issues to work through.” After his own 11-year journey, Doyle has become determined to fight for others who choose the road of healing. He works to block legislative efforts to ban “talk therapy,” the term used to identify ethically sound methods employed by counselors and psychologists for helping inherent heterosexuals identify the causes and resolve the underlying factors that lead to SSA. It’s called “conversion therapy.” Advocates of it, some of whom dismiss the term altogether, say it’s a legitimate way to help people — usually teens — rid themselves of “unwanted same sex attractions.” Rights groups say it’s forced brainwashing that doesn’t work and harms people who didn’t need any conversion at all.

Task Force co-coordinator Christopher J. Doyle wrote that “activists labeling this counseling ‘conversion therapy’ are using scare tactics to silence youth, and their families, that seek help for sexual and gender and identify conflicts. I hope this body makes the right and fair decision to support all youth and respect the wide range and diversity of sexual values they hold.” Click here to read more.

The world’s largest organization of psychiatrists just released a statement condemning all forms of counseling intended to resolve unwanted same-sex attraction

Please join us in speaking out against this incorrect and political statement by the World Psychiatric Association.

This statement is a political move, intended to appease the international pro-LGBT lobby. It does not take into account the well-documented benefits of counseling for those who freely choose counseling to resolve unwanted same-sex attractions (SSA).

Christopher Doyle, Founder of Voice of the Voiceless and Co-Coordinator of the National Task Force for Therapy Equality (#Therapy Equality) with Washington, DC-based Equality And Justice For All has personally experienced the healing power of counseling for unwanted SSA.
He explains: "For 15 years of my life, I experienced unwanted SSA due to childhood sexual abuse and a lack of healthy relationships with men. However, after I sought out licensed therapy, Christian support groups, and healthy friendships with men in my church, I healed the wounds that caused me to be homo-sexually attracted. Today, I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost ten years, and we have five wonderful children! There was absolutely nothing harmful about the help I received; in fact, every aspect of my life has improved because of this help and support. So why is my story marginalized by these activists? Do I not exist? Click here to read more and sign the petition . . .
Help the National Task Force File a Complaint with the Federal Trade Commission

Complaint Being Filed Against Gay Activist Groups Profiting from Lies
Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) are fraudulently profiting from their #BornPerfect campaign by falsely promoting the idea that sexual orientation is inborn and cannot change. In addition to misleading the public in order to further their political agenda, these gay activist organizations are actively trying to misrepresent, intimidate, and shut down organizations such as People Can Change (PCC) and others who offer help and healing for those with unwanted same-sex attraction and/or are ex-gay. Last week, HRC, SPLC, and NCLR sent a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission accusing PCC of Consumer Fraud, but they have yet to find a plaintiff who has accused PCC of deception at their peer-led healing weekends.
Because of these outrageous attacks against freedom, Equality And Justice For All and the National Task Force For Therapy Equality will be working on filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against HRC, SPLC and NCLR for their #BornPerfect campaign - but we need your help! Your gift of $10, $25, $50, $100, or more will help us fight against these attacks!

The National Task Force, coordinated by Christopher Doyle and David Pickup is comprised of prominent pro-family organizations, including Equality And Justice For All, The Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), Voice of the Voiceless, and many other pro-family and state family policy councils across the United States. The Task Force's objective is to secure therapy equality for those seeking help for unwanted same-sex attractions and fight against therapy ban legislation across the United States. In 2016, our Task Force helped to defeat or stall at 9 out of 10 bills!

We believe it's important to remind the FTC that in 2008, the American Psychological Association stated: “Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors.” Gay activist organizations refuse to acknowledge that homosexuality is NOT inborn, change IS possible, and ex-gays DO exist. We are living proof.
