Are legislators in your state considering a bill that would ban Sexual Orientation Change Effort (SOCE) therapy for minors who are struggling with unwanted same-sex attractions and gender identity confusion? Four states, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cincinnati, have already banned SOCE therapies (often called "conversion therapy" by gay activists) and more states are at risk to pass this harmful legislation in 2016.
But despite the efforts of gay activists, at least 15 states rejected or refused to pass laws to take away the therapy rights of children and their families in 2015, and bills in Virginia and Hawaii have recently been tabled due to our lobbying and advocacy efforts. We have played a large part in preventing those bans - but we need your help to prevent more in 2016!

Christopher Doyle, a leader in the #TherapyEquality campaign of Equality And Justice For All, said, "As bills like this crop up around the country, we encourage those who are opposed to them—and those who can tell their own story about how therapy changed their lives—to speak up and tell lawmakers why residents deserve therapy freedom."
"Everyone has the right to resolve unwanted desires, attractions and unmet love needs. If someone desires to work through those issues with a counselor, who are we to stop them," continued Doyle, a former homosexual who says therapy changed his life. Now married and a licensed professional counselor, Doyle fights for therapy equality and ex-gay awareness, and works in tandem with David Pickup, who coordinates the National Task Force to Secure Therapy Equality (#TherapyEquality).
The National Task Force includes prominent pro-family organizations such as Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays, Voice of the Voiceless, CitizenLink, Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, The Alliance/NARTH, Restored Hope Network, Family Watch International and many of the family policy councils throughout the United States.
