Subject: Gay Actvisits are Deceiving the Public and the Federal Trade Commision Needs to Stop It!

Help the National Task Force File a Complaint with the Federal Trade Commission

Complaint Being Filed Against Gay Activist Groups Profiting from Lies
Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) are fraudulently profiting from their #BornPerfect campaign by falsely promoting the idea that sexual orientation is inborn and cannot change. In addition to misleading the public in order to further their political agenda, these gay activist organizations are actively trying to misrepresent, intimidate, and shut down organizations such as People Can Change (PCC) and others who offer help and healing for those with unwanted same-sex attraction and/or are ex-gay. Last week, HRC, SPLC, and NCLR sent a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission accusing PCC of Consumer Fraud, but they have yet to find a plaintiff who has accused PCC of deception at their peer-led healing weekends.
Because of these outrageous attacks against freedom, Equality And Justice For All and the National Task Force For Therapy Equality will be working on filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against HRC, SPLC and NCLR for their #BornPerfect campaign - but we need your help! Your gift of $10, $25, $50, $100, or more will help us fight against these attacks!

The National Task Force, coordinated by Christopher Doyle and David Pickup is comprised of prominent pro-family organizations, including Equality And Justice For All, The Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), Voice of the Voiceless, and many other pro-family and state family policy councils across the United States. The Task Force's objective is to secure therapy equality for those seeking help for unwanted same-sex attractions and fight against therapy ban legislation across the United States. In 2015, our Task Force helped to defeat or stall at least 15 bills!

We believe it's important to remind the FTC that in 2008, the American Psychological Association stated: “Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors.” Gay activist organizations refuse to acknowledge that homosexuality is NOT inborn, change IS possible, and ex-gays DO exist. We are living proof.

States Must Protect Therapy Equality;
Denying the Right to Freedom of Therapy Choices Violates ‘Patient First’ Principle
A year ago next month, the White House declared its intention to ban all “conversion therapy” for minors across the country.

But since then, many states have taken the initiative to protect therapy freedom for their residents. In 2015, at least 15 states took action to protect the therapy options of minors. And that’s a step in the right direction, says Christopher Doyle, a licensed professional counselor and a leader in the #TherapyEquality campaign of Equality And Justice For All.

“First, the premise that this counseling is ‘conversion’ therapy is a misnomer,” Doyle said. “Youth who seek therapy for unwanted same-sex attractions or gender identity conflicts believe there are specific causes for their feelings and seek help to resolve those causes. Counselors are not attempting to ‘convert’ anyone, but are actually affirming their clients’ desires. We must not let the terminology of the argument distort this truth.

“Second,” Doyle continued, “denying any individual the right to access the help of his or her choosing violates the bedrock principle of ‘patient first.’ If an individual does not wish to seek therapy, that right must be respected; conversely, if an individual desires therapy, that right must be equally respected. When legislative intervention seeks to determine the validity of an individual’s pursuit of counseling, we in the medical profession should be outraged.”

Doyle recounts when a young man sat in his office, visibly upset, soon after President Obama and other White House representatives issued the assault on therapy freedom. “How can the President not understand?” the young man asked. “Why is he disowning young people like me? I don’t get it! Do my experiences and values not matter?”

This young man is struggling with same-sex attractions, but doesn’t identify as gay. And he needs compassion, understanding and healing, Doyle said. In this case, and in many cases, the young man’s homosexual feelings resulted after traumatic sexual abuse by another man.
*Cincinnati has now also banned therapy for minors.
