Parade Theme

“The Power of Us: Connecting Communities, Igniting Change.”


Parade Date:  Monday, January 19, 2026

Student Arrival & Drop-Off

Drop-Off Location: New Black Wall Street
Address: 8109 Mall Parkway, Stonecrest, GA 30038

Drop-Off Time:  8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.


Important Notice:
Access to New Black Wall Street will close at 8:45 a.m.  Students must arrive on time.

Parent Parking & Transportation

After dropping off students, parents should park at Privi at Stonecrest Mall and choose one of the following options:

  •  Walk to the parade route along Mall Parkway, or

  •  Take the Parade Transportation Shuttle from Privi to designated parade access points

Student Attire

  • Students must wear their gray academy polo shirts

  • Dress warmly—polo shirts should be worn under coats, hoodies, or jackets

100 BMOD Parade Banner

  • Four student volunteers are needed to carry the parade banner

  • Two students will carry the banner halfway through the parade

  • Two additional students will carry the banner to the end of the parade

Refreshments Provided:
Hot cocoa, water, granola bars, and donuts

Recommendation:
Students should eat breakfast before arriving

Registration Information

  • The 100 Black Men of DeKalb is a registered organization for the parade

  • All participating members and students are covered under this registration

  • No additional registration is required

Parade Schedule

  • 9:30 a.m. – 10-minute rally
    (New Black Wall Street parking lot)

  • 10:00 a.m. – Parade begins

Parade Route

The parade will:

  • Begin at New Black Wall Street

  • Turn left onto Mall Parkway

  • Turn right onto Stonecrest Square

  • Turn left onto Mall Ring Road

  • End at the Privi parking lot

 Total Walking Distance: Approximately 1.3 miles

 Community Service / Volunteer Hours

 Students will receive community service credit:

  • The NAACP will have a table on-site

  • Students must complete a community service form and return it to the NAACP representative
