Much Love, Black on Black Rhyme - Atlanta Family Novakane Bio: Kane “Novakane” Smego is a National Slam Poet and the Artistic Director of Sacrificial Poets/You Think, a youth poetry team that competes annually at Brave New Voices. He is a National Poetry Slam 2010 finalist and 2010 Southern Fried champion. In 2008, Kane won the Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) poetry slam amidst some of the countries top poets, and later that year competed in the Individual World Poetry Slam (IWPS) where he finished 14th in the world out of nearly 80 poets. He was also a 2010 Duo Slam champion and 2010 Black on Black Rhyme Two Piece and a Side Slam champion, and has featured at such historic venues as the Nuyorican Poets Café, Chicago’s G *********************************
