Hi EnrichHER Community,

I'm excited about the next three weeks of getting the word out about EnrichHER. Thank you to the members of the EnrichHER Community who came to hear me speak at Startup Chattanooga. This support lets me know that these newsletters are helpful. I'm also giving a guest lecture on entrepreneurship at an HBCU in Richmond tomorrow, which is my first highlight of the upcoming week.

In other news, you can sign up to get swag as a part of American Express Small Business Saturday. Signing up will include you in their list of companies promoted during this event.

Earlier this week, I was reading Medium articles and the following one grabbed my attention, I Know the Salaries of Thousands of Tech Employees. I have to admit that my first thought was a question to myself about why I left California. Then I remembered that I wanted to feel comfortable navigating in my own skin. That decision was priceless.

Enjoy the beauty of the Fall!

The Georgetown MBA program runs a venture capital focused competition called the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC). Local entrepreneurs can either submit a pitch deck or come to campus and pitch live to students who act as the VC, while actual VCs judge the competition. We look at this as a great opportunity for startups to practice pitches and pitch decks in a low risk environment while also meeting local venture capital companies and students.

Round 1: Materials due by Tuesday 10/30

Content Needed: Pitch deck from an investor presentation. The deck will be provided to the students to evaluate the company and develop an investment strategy and term sheet to be presented to actual VC judges.

In person time commitment: None

Round 2: Materials due by Tuesday 11/13

Content Needed: Pitch deck from an investor presentation, relevant financial summary data, and a representative/founder to pitch live to a room of students/VCs. The students will then have time to interact with the company rep to ask additional questions in order to evaluate the company and develop an investment strategy and term sheet to be presented to actual VC judges.

In person time commitment: Friday 11/16 from 9AM to 12:00PM

Please note that the deck and materials provided will not be distributed outside of Georgetown and all teams will sign a NDA.

If you are interested and want more information about how to participate, please contact Benjamin Pincus ( or Alex Poulin (
