Choosing and playing a Tibetan singing bowl engages many of the same practices that help us succeed in our life and business. It is one of the many reasons I include the singing bowl in my virtual meetings.

When choosing a singing bowl, we take time to be present with how it sounds and feels in your ears, body, and spirit. As you hold it gently and come present to the sensations, it helps you know which bowl to select. In business and life, we can practice being present and listening for how we are aligned with our vision, and how our business is aligned with that vision/mission.

If you are familiar with the singing bowl, you may also know the sound it makes when you move to quickly or lose concentration. It is called chatter, or an inconsistent knocking sound.  Just as it is in our minds the busy mind begins to chatter. When we pause, come present and move more slowly we can eliminate or reduce this chatter. We slow our movement and the bowl begins to sing, resonating deep and long.  In our personal practice, when we pause and listen, we hear our own inner wisdom more clearly. Listening for your authentic voice.

Whether you enjoy the bowl in meditation practice or metaphor, consider the ways the bowl can inform and inspire your personal and business leadership. Listen, feel the vibration, and thrive.
