Beware of the leaven of the spirit of the world! The American Heritage Dictionary defines leaven as “An element, influence, or agent that works subtly to lighten, enliven, or modify a whole.” In the same way, the spirit of the world has been spreading its anti-Christ message into the American Church.
The subtlety of it is a satanic masterpiece. It is a presentation of a watered-down version of God’s grace that is meant to undermine any desire to live up to God’s standards for His people. Since grace is a free pass to heaven for practically any church attender, there is no need for passion to know God, to resist the world’s allurements, to deny the flesh or overcome temptation to sin. The gates of glory are wide open for anyone who expresses the slightest interest in Christianity.
Scripture makes it clear that there will be a tremendous rise in falsehood at the end of the Age. In His last-days discourse, Jesus said, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:12) Are we living in the perilous times the apostle Paul warned about in his second letter to Timothy?
Since its inception, Pure Life Ministries has been a bulwark of truth combating the lies and filth that have swept across our nation and worse: infected the body of Christ through various forms of media.
The seductive voice of the enemy has become increasingly louder in our day and its rising influence in the Church has lured many professing Christians into bed with the harlot of Babylon.

| Dressed as a prostitute and cunning of heart. She is boisterous and rebellious, her feet do not remain at home; she is now in the streets, now in the public squares, and lurks by every corner. With her many persuasions she entices him; with her flattering lips she seduces him. … Suddenly he follows her as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as one walks in ankle bracelets to the discipline of a fool, until an arrow pierces through his liver; as a bird hurries to the snare, so he does not know that it will cost him his life. (Proverbs 7:10b-12, 21-23)

| Unfortunately, those coming to us for help have already succumbed to the flattering lips of Babylon. In John’s tremendous revelation, he wrote,

| I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive any of her plagues; for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her offenses.” (Revelation 18:4-5)

| And, in another place, we read,

| “Come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you. And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” says the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18)

| All throughout Scripture, there is a clear call for the people of God to separate themselves from the world’s influence and to consecrate their lives to the Lord and to prepare for life in His kingdom.
On any given day, some 600 people visit our website, 700 people watch our YouTube videos, and 300 people download our podcast. In a month, that translates to almost 19,000 website visits, over 20,000 YouTube video views, and more than 9,000 podcast downloads. In many ways, our media outreach has been a voice crying out in the wilderness for God’s people to return to Him and prepare the way for Jesus to return.
As the world continues its descent into moral and spiritual degradation, the battle to rescue men and women from the clutches of sexual sin is becoming increasingly difficult. Every Tuesday, our staff gathers together to pray for each aspect of our outreach department, including our website, videos, podcasts, products, events, and so on.
