Subject: 🌏World Nature Conservation day - Love the Earth a little bit more 💚🌏🌳

Helloooooo thereeee People!

Every 28th of July, we celebrate World Nature Conservation Day, a reminder of our shared duty to cherish and protect the natural wonders around us. From majestic mountains to mysterious deep-sea worlds, lush forests to fragile coral reefs, our planet offers a breathtaking diversity that supports life in all its forms. This day is not only about raising awareness - it is a celebration of nature's beauty and a call to action for each of us to help protect what we love. 🌳🐘

However, human activity has placed immense pressure on the Earth’s delicate ecosystems. Natural resources are being depleted at an alarming rate, and pollution continues to threaten the well-being of both the planet and future generations. This moment in time calls for care, creativity, and commitment - from individuals, communities, businesses, and governments alike. Together, our small everyday actions can add up to a lasting positive impact. ♻️🌊

Let us take this opportunity 💚 to reflect, learn, and act. Whether by reducing waste, planting trees, choosing greener transport options, or simply reusing items instead of discarding them, we all have a role to play. Because looking after the planet is the ultimate act of kindness. 🌿

This is an opportunity to better inform the work being done with voices that can share the challenges faced by the Caribbean and West African regions.

A VIBRANT FIRST SEMESTER IN SEYCHELLES

ITL Seychelles: A vibrant first half of 2025!

The ITL Seychelles team has been busy making memories and meaningful impact throughout the first semester of 2025, blending community outreach with team bonding in true ITL spirit. Here is a look back at some of the highlights:

🧁 February – Bring & Share Delight

We kicked off the year with a warm and flavourful Bring & Share event in February. Team members came together with homemade treats, laughter, and good conversation – a perfect recipe to start the year with unity and joy.

🤝 April – Giving Back at the Home of the Elderly

In April, the team devoted time to the community by visiting the Home of the Elderly. With heartfelt conversations, small acts of kindness, and shared moments of care, it was a touching and rewarding experience for all involved.

May – FIFA Beach Soccer Fever!

In May, the team embraced the spirit of sport and friendly competition at the FIFA Beach Soccer event. Whether cheering from the sidelines or getting into the game, it was a fantastic moment of energy, fun, and team pride.

🎨 July – Sip & Paint Creativity

To round off the semester, July brought a splash of colour with a Sip & Paint evening. With brushes in hand and creativity flowing, the team let loose their inner artists in a relaxed, laughter-filled setting.

💙 These activities not only strengthened our bonds as colleagues but also reflected the ITL Seychelles team's strong values of collaboration, community engagement, and having fun along the way.

Here’s to an equally exciting second half of the year!

ANNOUNCEMENT

🧼 Let’s keep our workspaces clean (and Gum-Free)!

We would like to gently remind everyone about the importance of maintaining a clean and respectful shared environment. A recent incident on Level 3 highlighted an unpleasant issue - someone accidentally stepped on chewing gum in the open space. As you can imagine and see in the picture, it was not the most pleasant experience. 😢

To avoid this happening again, we kindly ask all staff to dispose of chewing gum responsibly. That means:

🗑️ Do not throw chewing gum in the paper bins at your desks

🚮 Always dispose of chewing gum in the large bins located in the mess rooms

These bins are better suited for waste like gum and food items, which can otherwise cause mess, odours, and inconvenience for others.

Let us work together to keep our workplace pleasant, hygienic, and comfortable for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated! 🌟

Mauritian Bowlers shine in Malaysia! 🎳

🎳 A big shoutout to our talented national bowling team for their brilliant performance during the recent tournament in Kuala Lumpur, held in preparation for the African Zone 2026!🎯

Among the standout performers was our very own Kong Lau, who, alongside teammates Yogesh Fowdar and Preenal Bessodyal, secured 5th place in the Mix Trios category — a result that highlights the growing potential of bowling in Mauritius!🏅

This enriching international experience — which included high-level competition and a special training session with Malaysian pro Timmy Tan 🎳💪 — would not have been possible without the generous support of Perigeum Capital, proud sponsor of the Mauritian delegation. 🙌💼

👏 Congratulations to the team for proudly representing Mauritius on the international stage! Open the attached article to read more 👆

ITL Alumni reunion at Strike City - Rediscovering connections

A group of ITL Alumni recently reunited for a fun and meaningful evening at Strike City, Bagatelle, joined by some of the Heads of our Business Units. Laughter, friendly competition, and nostalgic conversations filled the air as colleagues past and present reconnected in a relaxed setting.

Beyond the bowling lanes and shared memories, the evening also featured something special - a live discovery of Amelia 2.0. The alumni were intrigued to see how ITL continues to embrace innovation and technology while staying true to its human-centric values.

From catching up with familiar faces to engaging with the future of ITL, the event was a wonderful reminder that once part of the ITL family, always part of the ITL journey. 💙

DID YOU KNOW? 🧐

🐘 Elephants are known as ecosystem engineers. They dig waterholes, create paths used by other animals, and even disperse seeds in their dung, helping forests grow.

🐢 Sea turtles have been around for more than 100 million years - since the time of dinosaurs - but six out of seven species are currently threatened with extinction.

🪨 Iceland runs on nearly 100% renewable energy - primarily geothermal and hydroelectric power. A glowing example of how clean energy can power an entire country! ⚡🌋

🌳 One mature tree can absorb up to 22 kg of carbon dioxide per year and release enough oxygen to support two human beings.

🧃 Recycling one aluminium can saves enough energy to run a television for three hours. So next time, toss it in the recycling bin! 📺🔁

🚲 If just 10% of people cycled instead of driving for short trips, it could reduce carbon emissions by millions of tonnes annually.

🛍️ Up to 85% of textiles thrown away in landfills each year could be reused or recycled. Next time you clean your wardrobe, consider donating or upcycling instead. 👕♻️

🐾 Every single action counts. If every office worker used just one less disposable cup each day, it would save over 16 billion cups from ending up in landfills each year!

🌎 On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, let us remember that the Earth does not need grand gestures - it needs consistent, mindful choices. From switching off unused lights to choosing to carpool, every step matters. Nature gives us so much: clean air, fresh water, food, and awe-inspiring beauty. The least we can do is give a little back. 🌤️🦋

Let this day inspire you to live more sustainably, act more consciously, and encourage those around you to do the same. After all, protecting the planet is not just about conservation—it is about connection, community, and care.

So, here is to hugging the Earth a little tighter today 💞🌳 - and every day. Happy World Nature Conservation Day! 🌍💫
