Subject: Webinar: Breaking the Grey List Loop - The Mauritian Experience

Dear Friend,

Since 24th February 2023, South Africa (SA) has been facing multiple shades of grey. As an indictment for its strategic deficiencies in the money-laundering and terrorist financing space, SA was grey-listed by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

As at date, SA has successfully addressed 52 of FATF’s 67 recommendations and the remaining 15 are expected to be completed by 2025. Amidst a growing concern for the potential economic and reputational hits for SA, should the country speed up its timeline to address all of its deficiencies?
