A Cyclone Warning Class 1 is in force in Mauritius

At 10:30 a.m. today (Mauritian Time), Monday 31 January 2022, the Mauritius Meteorological Services issued a Cyclone Warning Class 1 and entertains the possibility of further deterioration of weather conditions in the next 12 to 24 hours.


In case of a Class 3 Warning, please note that our offices and banks in Mauritius will be closed for business. In case of damage to telecommunications facilities and /or power cuts, access to emails might also be affected.


Business is expected to resume as usual when a cyclone warning Class 3 is downgraded or lifted.


We endeavour to keep you informed of future developments in this regard, and regret any inconvenience that could be caused by the cyclonic weather conditions, obviously due to circumstances beyond our control.
