Subject:ย In for a cup of coffee?

Hello There People!

As we celebrate International Coffee Day on 1st October next, how about a little story on the uniqueness of coffee? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Are you a potato, an egg or a coffee bean?

Once upon a time, a daughter complained to her father about how problems in her life seemed never-ending. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high flame. He then placed a potato in one pot, an egg in the second pot, and some ground coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit and boil as the daughter impatiently waited.

After twenty minutes, he turned off the burners, took out the potato in one plate, placed the egg in another plate and poured the coffee in a cup. Turning to her daughter, the father asked: "What do you see?โ€

โ€œPotatoes, eggs, and coffee,โ€ she hastily replied.

โ€œLook closer,โ€ he said, โ€œand touch the potatoes.โ€ She did and noted that they were soft. She then touched the hard-boiled eggs and lifted the cup of coffee to her face as she smiled at the rich aroma.

โ€œFather, what does this mean?โ€ she asked.

"The potatoes, eggs and coffee beans faced the same adversity, which is the boiling water. However, each one reacted differently. The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak. The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then, the inside of the egg became hard. However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new."

Morale of the story: Do you want to be a potato, an egg or a coffee bean? When adversity knocks on your door, respond in a way that will create something new and amazing! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
