Let's not forget though that Chinese New Year is more than just cakes. It's the start of a new year, which we hope will bring good health, prosperity and amazing luck to one and all!

As we enter the year of the dragon, let's be grateful for all the blessings and lessons that the year of the rabbit bestowed on us and let's look forward to another great year together People!

FATF consolidated assessment ratings

The FATF has issued a consolidated assessment ratings to provide an up-to-date overview of the ratings that assessed countries for effectiveness and technical compliance (last updated on 5 February 2024).

The consolidated ratings - which should be read in conjunction with the detailed mutual evaluation reports available on the FATF website - can be accessed on:

FATF and FSRBs conduct peer reviews on an ongoing basis to assess how effectively their respective members' AML/CFT measures work in practice, and how well they have implemented the technical requirements of the FATF Recommendations.

Gross Official International Reserves: End-January 2024

The Bank of Mauritius has published The Gross Official International Reserves (GOIR) of the country which amounted to Rs324.0 billion (USD7,154.1 million) as at end-January 2024. Based on the imports of goods and services for calendar year 2022, the GOIR represented 10.9 months of imports as at end-January 2024. You may refer to the attached.
