TECHNICAL NEWS

Bank of Mauritius (BoM) participation in the (BIS) COPS community of practice

BoM is part of the Bank for International Settlements’ Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) community of practice on central bank-operated payment systems.

The community will initially focus on the operational aspects of payment systems access, operating hours, interlinking and the harmonisation of ISO 20022 message formats for central bank-operated real-time gross settlement (RTGS) systems and fast payment systems (FPS). FSC issues Paper entitled “Decentralised Finance (DeFI): Regulatory Considerations on Financial Collaterals” for Public Consultation

The Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) partners with Risk Insights to enhance the quality of ESG reporting in Mauritius

The SEM has entered into a partnership agreement with Risk Insights, a data analytics firm recognized for its cutting-edge AI-powered ESG rating tools, to elevate the quality of ESG reporting in Mauritius. Please refer to the attached press release.

Standard Bank Communique

You are reminded that it is mandatory to provide for a payment reason / purpose of transfer when capturing a third-party payment on Business Online (BOL) or when providing manual payment instruction. Third party payment includes cross border as well as any payment to a bank based in Mauritius, including Standard Bank (Mauritius) Ltd.

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and Africa/Middle East Regional Committee (AMERC) Public Conference

Harsheenee had the honour of sharing her expert views during a panel discussion on ‘ESGs - Evolution in Africa’.

Harsheenee highlights: “ESG reporting should go beyond PR and reflect genuine sustainability efforts for transparency and accountability. Without substantive action, it risks becoming mere greenwashing, undermining its purpose.” 🌎☘

Team lunch | CASS, Project Management and Marketing teams

You may have noticed that the Level 4 mess was in a little mess on Monday with a lot of people walking here and there 😜 In fact, Team Project Management, Marketing and CASS gathered for lunch around a delicious mine bouillie and boulettes. Surprise surprise for our dearest Lovee who tasted and approved of the Mine Bouillie & Rougaille Saumon being a good combo 😆
