Dear Friend,


Thank you very much for offering to Beta test the Update for BlockBase+! We look forward to working with you.


The Main Goal for this Update

We have added some fun new features that need to be tested as well as some bug fixes:

  1. A new updater feature that will notify you if an update is available. We will send out an update partway through the Beta to test this feature.

  2. The ability to print a reference sheet of images of your Favorite blocks from the program.

  3. The ability to export your BlockBase+ Favorites as a library for EQ8.

Everything you need to know is available on our Beta testing website.

Please take time to look through the changelog posted there to familiarize yourself with the updates and fixes that we have made.

The Timeline (May 26 - June 9, 2021)

We want to hear from every Beta tester! Please either submit bug reports or provide written feedback via email during the beta testing period (May 26 to June 9, 2021). If everything is working as expected, please let us know that too. All notes and findings are appreciated!


Download the Beta Update (Windows version: 1.0.1.1 and Mac version 3.0.1.1)

We have added the Beta download to your ElectricQuilt.com account. Log in now. There will be two big dark blue buttons below the BlockBase+ Downloads heading that say BlockBase+ Windows Beta Download and BlockBase+ macOS Beta Download. You will see both the Windows and the macOS versions in our account. Please download the appropriate version for your computer system.

IMPORTANT: If you do not see the beta download buttons in your account, you need to log out, then log back in. If you still do not see them, please email beta@electricquilt.com.

Download and install like normal (you do not need to uninstall your current BlockBase+). The name of the downloaded file from which you should install is called BlockBase_Plus_Beta_Setup.
