Scroll down for the big reveal! | | | Say hello to Jenny Novinsky, the Director of Education at Electric Quilt who officially caught the quilt bug while designing virtual quilts as a graphic design intern back in 2001. Even before picking up a rotary cutter, Jenny was turning pixels into piecing dreams with EQ. Her quilt designs have graced the pages of Quilts & More, Quiltmaker Magazine, The Quilter, and Fat Quarterly. Jenny's also the face of EQ At Home, Electric Quilt's beloved online classes. Want a 5-star teacher? Jenny's your girl! | | | Meet Dr. Janice E. Frisch, your friendly neighborhood quilt historian and self-proclaimed folklore fanatic who’s been designing digital quilts since junior high, back when EQ4 was the latest and greatest. Armed with a PhD in Folklore from Indiana University, Janice has dug deep into the rich stories behind our favorite stitches including the cultural art and design of t-shirt quilts. She also used to run a business making custom t-shirt quilts! From folklore to fabric, Janice has literally pieced together history with needle, thread, and a lot of scholarly flair. | | | By now, you've heard of our dear friend and fantastic EQ educator, Lori Miller. Lori’s been stitching since age 11, channeling her sewing roots into designs that bring joyful pops of color to the modern sewist’s life. Her original quilt patterns have appeared in various quilting magazines and even at QuiltCon! Lori was once a student at EQ Academy and now teaches EQ8 workshops all over the U.S. What's more, she spearheaded EQ8 add-ons for AccuQuilt® Qubes and BOB dies, enabling quilters to design digitally and cut effortlessly. Lori is an EQ genius! | | | If quilting had a hype man, Adam Rateliff would be him and we're so excited to have this new smiling face at EQ Academy! His love for quilting began a few years ago with a Tula Pink pattern that consisted of nearly a bazillion 2" squares. Not long after that, he ditched his accounting spreadsheets for stitch lines and never looked back. Now a Bernina educator, Adam’s on the road more than a runaway bobbin. Wherever you find him, he's bringing bold colors, big laughs, and pure joy in everything he does! | | Even though March feels far away, you’ll want to be ready when registration opens because when this teaching lineup comes together, seats will go fast! | | | |
