April 11 marked 29 years since Locus Technologies opened its doors in San Francisco. I started this company with a conviction that environmental data was about to become enormously consequential, and that organizations managing it would need software built by people who understood it scientifically, not just technically. That conviction has only deepened over time.

2025 was, by most measures, the most consequential year in our history. We launched the Locus Water Suite to serve drinking water utilities. We deployed Locus OneView and Locus AI for predictive analytics, automated permit compliance monitoring, and emissions forecasting. We surpassed 4.2 million PFAS records in the platform, earned SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications, and ranked in the Top 3 among more than 200 vendors in a leading independent ESG analyst report. And we made the strategic decision to divest our professional services division entirely, becoming a 100% SaaS company — a move that sharpened our focus and drove 40% growth in software revenue.

We are now the leading pure-play environmental and water compliance software provider. That position reflects the work of an exceptional team, and the trust of clients like you who have stayed with us through every shift in regulation, technology, and market.
