Morielli's series is a selection of acrylic and gouache paintings from a new series that reflects Morielli’s lived experience of stasis during COVID-19. A native of Darien, Morielli is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, and as an artist/arts activist she has been involved in many aspects of the local art scene. On view through Sept 30th. Gallery Hours: M-F 10-4pm, S&S 12-4pm

ARTISTS COLLECTIVE OF WESTPORT POP UP EXHIBIT

Westport Country Playhouse Barn

Gather in the barn at the Westport Country Playhouse for a reception of the latest PopUp show from the Artists Collective of Westport. The exhibit will be on view Thursday through Saturday 2:00 - 6:00 pm, and there will be an Artist Talk on Saturday at 4:00 pm, including CAFC artists: Miggs Burroughs, Julie Leff, Duvian Montoya, Cynthia Mullins, Barbara Ringer, and Sherri Wolfgang.

JUNE AHRENS: "REFLECTING TIME"

A local Stamford artist, Ahrens has created an exhibition that explores fragility and loss, as well as hope and renewal in two dynamic components: CHANGING and SURROUND (HIDING IN PLAIN SITE). CHANGING is an immersive site-specific installation with an avenue of vining decayed flowers, tendrils and stems. SURROUND provides broken mirror and shards of broken glass offering distorted likenesses & images. On view through Oct 22nd.

Contemplate, reflect and be moved by beautiful works of art inspired by water by Felicity Kostakis. Born in Sydney, Australia, CAFC Member ’s early inspiration came from the magnificent coastlines of Australia's southeast region. After a visit to the Connecticut shore in 1998, Felicity became inspired by the New England coastlines and moved her studio to Old Greenwich. Felicity's artwork is rich with light and nature. On view through Oct 6th.

Schelfhaudt Gallery at Paier College, Bridgeport

Soak up painting, drawing, sculpture and video curated by Steve Mykietyn in this culling of associations drawn from Mykietyn’s run as the proprietor of “Orgy Park.” A diverse selection of styles and tendencies of 30 artists are on display, ranging from geometric abstract and formal realist painting to techno-didactic tinkering and shabby-chic post conceptual sculpture. On view through Oct 10th.

Celebrating a dynamic array of contemporary art across all visual art mediums, this year’s exhibition is juried by Sharon Butler; painter, art writer, and founder of "Two Coats of Paint." International in scope, A•ONE shows a wide spectrum of forms and ideas as well as innovation in composition and materials. Gallery hours are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. On view through Oct 20th.

This exhibition includes prints that incorporate text and language as an integral part of the subject matter. Text takes a prominent role as the subject itself or the most compelling element of the depicted object and may appear as individual characters, words, or partial phrases. Both early career artists and more established artists can be seen on the walls, appearing to be in dialogue with each other.
