Ameen Mokdad is an Iraqi composer and multi-instrumentalist who was trapped in hiding under the brutality of ISIS for two years in Mosul. During that time he survived and told his story by writing an extraordinary repertoire of music… in secret. The 19 songs of ‘The Curve’ form a soundscape that transverses a range of emotions: fear, defeat, hope, and rebirth.

Featuring a cast of 30 local performers and a live onstage band of seven musicians, this epic musical tells the story of Nathan Detroit, a gambler who tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town. The show ran for 1,200 performances on Broadway in 1950 and received a bevy of awards including Tonys, Drama Desks, and Oliviers.
