CREATIVE HAPPY HOUR

The Norwalk Art Space

Head over to The Norwalk Art Space for their monthly Creative Happy Hour. This month, the evening is hosted by TNAS Korry Fellow, Iyaba Ibo Mandingo and will feature live poetry. Other creative groups, including Charter Oak Portrait Painters and Art Space Animation, Drawing and Writing Groups, will also meet and create together. All are welcome to participate, create together or just enjoy - while enjoying fabulous food and drinks from the Art Space Cafe!

WATERCOLOR MONOTYPE WITH STENCILS 3-DAY WORKSHOP

Center for Contemporary

Printmaking, Norwalk

This 3-day in-studio workshop teaches students to build bright and playful monoprints, exploring the intersection between painting and printmaking. Students will print from watercolor paintings on plexiglass, plastic stencils, and water-soluble crayon drawings, investigating various mark-making techniques while learning to experiment with ghost printing.

Historic Ridgefield turns into a strolling art gallery where you can meet and greet artists and see demonstrations outside the storefronts. 48 artists have been matched with 36 participating merchants for this year’s fundraising event. All artwork is for sale & remains in stores through Sept 11. Portion of proceeds benefit RGOA.

RIDGECON POP CULTURE CELEBRATION

The Ridgefield Library

This family event of all fandoms, games, comics, and cosplay includes Pokémon tournaments, live music, crafts, games, scavenger hunts, raffles and more! Dress up as your favorite pop culture characters and enter the cosplay contest. At 1:00 pm, the Library features Steve Light, author of "Swap" and over 14 other picture books.

Grab your favorite teddy or plush toy for a family day of fun, including children’s activities and storytelling focused on Bear Awareness and the facts about real bears. A “Teddy Bear Clinic” will be on site for your to get a free health checkup for your friend.
