The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

A hands-on program that will fuel the wonder of sharks, seals, turtles and other fascinating marine animals through the fun. One- and two-week programs are available for ages 6-8 and 9-12. A three-week "Teen Apprentice" program for ages 13-15 starts August 1st.

For 6-8 year olds, explore a variety of mediums, learning new skills and improving old ones. For 9-12 year olds, the Afternoon program focuses on painting techniques and color mixing. Hone drawing skills and learn about shape, composition and form.

Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County, Bridgeport

Named in honor of founder, Patricia Hart, this "Camp for Everyone" program is an opportunity for children ages 6 - 21 with special needs and their non-disabled peers to explore the visual and performing arts. Study theater, dance/movement, music and the visual arts. An original play is created by the children and staff and performed.

Young folks are encouraged to use their voice on issues that matter to them and turn it into something theatrical. Middle school students will explore the art of playwriting and create their own play. Guided by a professional Theater for Young Audiences playwright, the young artists will collectively create stories and perform their play at the Playhouse before an audience of family and friends.
