With two distinctly different styles, the artists explore the power of iconic American imagery to create change and push the boundaries of feminism, social justice and African-American culture. Tara uses nostalgic cartoons and light-hearted imagery from her youth to grab viewers’ attention, and Cal creates highly-stylized portraits capturing modern black identity.
