An exploration of the framing of the past and present through the viewing of highlights from the documentary, "Final Account." After the screening, a panel discussion with Holocaust survivors, and children of Holocaust survivors, about complicity, propaganda and responsibility, as reflected in the film. In recognition of the Korean American Experience, this film includes a post-film interview led by entertainment reporter Cheryl Washington. Minari follows a Korean-American family that moves to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. It received six Oscar nominations and won for Best Supporting Actress.

In partnership with the Mayor's Multicultural Council, The Friends of The Ferguson Library offers a hybrid presentation featuring Roya Hakakian and a discussion of her book, “A Beginner’s Guide to America: For the Immigrant and the Curious.” Hakakian captures the texture of life as an immigrant in a new place, laying bare both its beauty and its darkness. A book sale and signing will follow.
