This exhibit features selections from bodies of work of award-winning Connecticut artists, including CAFC members Ellen Gordon, Lina Morielli, Mary Newcomb, along with Marina Shrady, Jyoti DesaiOli Kambeitz, and Bob Kuperman. All of the works are classified as either paintings or mixed media. The body of work reflects a diversity of styles and imagery ranging from conceptualized and evocative figurative paintings to playful and explosively colored abstractions to a selection of mixed media drawings done on each day of 2020 starting in March at the inception of the Covid-19 lockdown. On view through February 19.

Fairfield County Children's Choir presents songs from Mamma Mia and Wicked, two favorite contemporary musicals, as well as a tribute to Stephen Sondheim's contributions to the American musical. Music Director & Founder Jon Noyes & conductors Lisa Bettke, Jacqueline Sugrue-Tait, & Ashley Zadravecz created this concert to showcase the singers who remained committed during the pandemic.

The Ridgefield Symphony presents the latest in the Music at the Museum series. The Quintet is comprised of Jennifer Berman, flute, Janet Rosen, oboe, Jim Forgey, clarinet, Jackie Joyner, bassoon, and Robert Hoyle, horn. They will perform pieces by Ravel, Debussy, and two Connecticut composers, both of whom will be in attendance at the concert.

Organist Renée Anne Louprette, hailed by The New York Times as “one of New York’s finest organists,” has established an international career as organ recitalist, conductor, and teacher. She is associated with a number of distinguished music programs in the New York City area. Alongside pieces by Bach, Cesar Frank Ms. Louprette will also play lesser known 17th-century works.
