Celebrate Independence Day with the Norwalk Historical Society the opening of the exhibit One Room School-houses: A History of Education in Norwalk 1650-1870, curated by Daryn Reyman-Lock, with activities for children. Then, hear the Town House Bell toll 13 times to commemorate the founding of the original 13 colonies. Mayor Harry Rilling will take part, Norwalk’s Town Clerk will read from the Declaration of Independence, and there will be two mini-slide lectures by local historians Ed and Madeleine Eckert on Heroes of the Battle of Norwalk. More...
