"Friends, Romans, countrymen....," a phrase probably as well known as "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" will be heard in Curtain Call's free Shakespeare on the Green program with this year's presentation of Julius Caesar, playing July 6 through 16 at Sterling Farms in Stamford. (More)
The Universe and an All- American Total Solar Eclipse

Ferguson Library - 
Harry Bennett Branch

Kevin Manning, astronomer and N.A.S.A. consultant, will present this special family program, about the universe and the upcoming solar eclipse. Following the presentation, visitors will be invited outside (weather permitting) to view celestial objects through a powerful telescope.  (More)
67th Art of the Northeast

Opening Reception

Silvermine presents its 67th Art of the Northeast, a prestigious competition and exhibition highlighting the diversity of work that is currently being made in the Northeast by emerging and established artists. The juror and curator is the Whitney Museum's David Kiehl (above). Four Cultural Alliance members are included in the show, including Rick Shaefer, whose life-size Sugar Maple won Best in Show. (More)

Cultural Alliance artist member Elizabeth Marks shows some of her serene beach paintings at the Pearl, the Longshore Restaurant and Bar in Westport. Painted with the artist's body, these abstract canvases summon the quiet drift in the sky, the roll of the ocean and a softness seen in water and the horizon. (More)

The unique Sidewalk Gallery is refreshing the corner of So. Main & Haviland Streets in SoNo with Blooms in Light, an exhibit of the extraordinary floral paintings of Cultural Alliance artist Cynthia Mullins. Perhaps best seen at night, the gallery's lights stay on until 1:00am.  (More)
