A traditional Christmas concert of the Jubilate Ringers handbell choir and Festival Chorus, includes classic carols and Christmas songs, both old and new, as well as favorite carols sung by all with the majestic St. Matthew's organ. David H. Connell's "A Star" is a hauntingly beautiful setting of poems by Unitarian Universalist clergyman, Rudolph Nemser. Ellen Dickinson's "Light in the Darkness," receiving its premiere performance, is an arrangement of twelve carols in four movements -- Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy -- for chorus and handbells with crotales.

Suzanne Sheridan will be covering the Dylan songs that most people know and will want to sing along with. She will be joined by musicians Bob Cooper (keyboard and Hammond organ); Colin Healy (harmonica, mandolin, fiddle and backup vocals); drummer Scott Lebish; and Paul Horton on lead guitar. Mixed seating: cabaret-style at tables and concert seats. (More)

In Bach's Christmas Oratorio, the orchestra will be joined by members of the Mendelssohn Choir of CT, the Fairfield County Children's Choir and soloist Blythe Gaissert. This will be followed by a sing-along and the Hallelujah Chorus. (More)

EVERYONE is encouraged to join the rehearsals at 4pm for the Angel Choir holiday concert at 6pm. With Larissa Friedenberg and her Gold Coast Trio, the Angel Choir will explore the music of the holidays from Gregorian Chant to popular favorites. Devoted to inviting all people to use music making as rehabilitation for the spirit, Angel Choir also offers a platform for cancer patients and survivors and to anyone who wants to commemorate someone who has been lost to the disease. (More)

The dancers of Norwalk Metropolitan
Youth Ballet's (NMYB) Apprentice Ensemble and Ensemble Etoile are set to take the stage in NMYB's Stars of Tomorrow. 37 dancers will be performing the 39 dances they are taking to Youth America Grand Prix, the world's largest student scholarship competition. Come marvel at the choreography, the costumes, and be inspired by the dedication of these dancers to their craft.
