WELCOME NEW MEMBERS

Kika Sojakova calls New York her home for 8 years,

ever since IBM brought her across the Atlantic to their headquarters. In her current role, she leads sales globally for Intel as a Strategic Technology Partner and was previously the Chief of Staff to the Head of IBM Cloud and the CTO of IBM Cloud. Since the early 2000s when she spent a year in the south of France, she has gained a deep admiration for the French culture, language, savoir vivre, and cuisine, while attending Alliance Française in Montpellier. Kika studied Political Science in Vienna Austria, and is an active member of the Slovak ex-pat community in the US connecting her with her home country, and a Forbes contributor, bringing inspiring life stories forward.

Lori Bloom opened a mural business, Blooming Colors, after completing a BFA from Purchase College. Her work can be found in homes and offices across the tri-state area. Lori holds a Master’s in Art Education and a Masters in General Education. After years of teaching in public schools, she is now pursuing her dream of being a full time artist. Currently Lori works in her studio in Bridgeport on her art and with The RiseUp Group to bring arts to local communities. She also works with Silvermine Arts Center in their Outreach Program. In her work, colors collide, drip and flow, teaching her to let go and have no expectations or fear of what the final piece will be. It is a process, and Lori believes her soul leads her in creating.
