Hello Miracle Family,
As we explored this week, Lesson 155 asks us to stop pretending we know how to lead. Every time we try to manage outcomes or control the path, we make the ego our guide. The Course calls that madness. Haven't you felt the craziness that comes when ego tries to control? The pressure, the confusion, the sense that peace is always one step away.
Spirit leads differently. It doesn’t argue or command; it reinterprets. It changes how you see before it changes what you do. When your perception shifts, your whole world rearranges itself around that new awareness.
Here are some key concepts to consider this week: The fear of being led We resist surrender because the ego equates being led with losing power. But real guidance doesn’t take power from you—it restores it. The ego’s fake surrender Saying, “I’ll let Spirit lead,” while still worrying or planning is still control. That’s the ego pretending to trust. Spirit leads through perception, not direction Guidance isn’t about what to do next; it’s about how to see what’s already here. The shift in perception is the movement. You’re already being led You don’t need to force faith. Spirit is already ahead of you, clearing the way. The only work is remembering that’s true.
Practice this week: When you’re feeling stressed, think of Lesson 155 as a four-step process back to sanity: I Will — Choose willingness; stop trying to control what only Love can guide. Step Back — Pause; move out of the way and release the need to manage outcomes. Let Him Lead — Acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the only mind that knows the path. The Way — Remember the way to peace is already prepared; your part is simply to follow.
