We’re heading into Independence Day weekend—a time when freedom is celebrated with fireworks, flags, and bold declarations. But A Course in Miracles offers us a deeper truth: real freedom doesn’t come from independence. It comes from interdependence.
The freedoms we enjoy—spiritual, emotional, even political—have never been the work of lone individuals. They are the result of communities coming together with shared vision and purpose. And the same is true for miracles.
Freedom begins in the mind, but it blooms in relationship. We remember who we are through each other. We release fear when we join in love. That’s why this week’s review in Lesson 57—drawing from Lessons 31–35—is such a perfect reflection. It’s a call to stop seeing ourselves as victims. To reclaim our inner authority. And to realize that peace isn’t something we find alone.
This is what our Sunday gatherings are about. We’re not just a group—we’re a community dedicated to miracles. And when a group of people come together to remember love, the kind of freedom we can create is something the world has never seen.
So let’s not just celebrate independence. Let’s celebrate the freedom that comes from choosing interdependence.
Let’s gather. Let’s BE free, together.
Every Sunday at 1:00 PM MST Unity Temple | 1555 Race Street, Denver (Doors open at 12:30 PM)
We build love by showing up. Let’s walk this together.
With love and appreciation, Earl
