Hello Miracle Family,
Most people assume exhaustion comes from doing too much. The Course demonstrates that exhaustion reflects a decision already made, where the mind chose to value something temporary over peace, and the body is carrying the cost of that choice.
Lesson 133 is uncompromising. A temporary value is without all value. Whatever you are exhausted from trying to protect, manage, or sustain was never capable of giving you what you were asking of it. Fatigue is not a personal failure. It is information. It shows you exactly where your allegiance is.
Exhaustion also intensifies when a real shift is near. Not because the path is demanding, but because the ego resists the Holy Instant. Stillness would undo the strategy entirely. Pausing would expose that the effort is unnecessary. So the mind stays busy. Effort replaces trust. Doing replaces joining.
As we move into a new cycle, this pattern becomes harder to maintain. The energy ahead does not support compensation or self-management. What you already understand how to release will no longer tolerate being carried. The issue is not knowledge. It is willingness.
A Check-In Practice
When you notice exhaustion, pause.
Notice where it shows up.
Ask what you are trying to make happen.
Notice what you are trying to control or secure.
Pause instead of fixing.
Let peace interrupt the strategy.
Do not analyze the answers. Noticing is enough. That pause is the Holy Instant. It is where the original decision can be undone.
This week’s class is not about doing more or refining technique. It is about noticing what you are already valuing and what it is costing you. Where exhaustion appears, a different choice is available. Peace does not come later. It replaces what you are willing to stop carrying now.
