Hello Miracle Family,
This week we went deeper into Lesson 135, and once again it showed me how one paragraph in A Course in Miracles can open up a whole world of healing when you really sit with it. Paragraph 11 has so much power in it that we could spend months on just those few lines. If you missed the class, be sure to watch it: Why Your Life Feels Chaotic: You're Following the Wrong Plan | ACIM Lesson 135 (Part 2). What stood out for me were the three truths I kept circling back to: we usually misidentify the problem, we don’t perceive our own best interests, and real healing begins the moment we allow ourselves to not know.
1. Misidentifying the Problem Is Where the Pain Comes From
The Course is honest about this. Most of the time you do not know what the real problem is. I mentioned in the class that if I am honest, there are days when I do not even know why I am upset. The ego grabs the nearest situation and calls that the issue, but the real problem is never the thing you are staring at. When the ego misidentifies the problem, it also picks the wrong solution. That is why ego planning feels so heavy. You are trying to fix something that is not the cause of your pain.
Reflective Question:
Where in your life might you be treating the wrong thing as the problem?
2. I Do Not Perceive My Own Best Interests
This line is a spiritual lifesaver. You do not see the whole picture. You do not know the best outcome. You do not know how to get to the peace you want. And most of the time you do not even recognize the real problem that needs healing. That story I shared about being late and avoiding that serious accident is a perfect example. My ego thought I was behind schedule. Spirit knew I was being protected. When you really let in the idea that you do not perceive your own best interests, the fight with the moment you are in begins to fall away.
Reflective Question:
Where are you still convinced that things should be going differently?
3. Entering I Do Not Know Opens the Door to Revelation
This is where the deep work starts. Saying I do not know is not confusion. It is surrender. It is the moment the ego steps back enough for Spirit to guide you. That is why I used the GPS example. You do not get the whole route. You get the next turn. If you insist on doing it your way, you end up lost. If you say show me, the path opens. The healed mind waits, listens, and then does what it is guided to do. You do not need the entire plan to trust the next step.
Reflective Question:
What changes in you when you stop trying to know everything and simply ask for the next step?
If you haven’t watched this week’s class yet, or want to hear it with fresh ears, you can find the replay in your Mighty Companion Community members' area. And as always, your Mighty Companion Study Guide is there to help you go deeper with what’s rising in you now.
